Progress on Vaginal Microbiome R&D Lab
We had a highly productive all-day strategy session to discuss all things vaginal microbiome at , which included evaluating our very encouraging progress made in our specialised vaginal microbiome R&D lab. Very grateful for the world-class expertise from our esteemed advisors in this space: Dr David MacIntyre and Dr Janet Halliday.
It’s been exciting to carefully map out the next steps required to prove how our user convenient Callavid platform will help provide effective colonisation and epithelial adherence of live biotherapeutics (LBPs) for a healthy vaginal microbiome. A healthy vaginal microbiome is believed to play a key role in general health as well as the prevention of recurrent bacterial vaginosis (BV), currently necessitating repeated courses of antibiotics and contributing to antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
