Grant Funding Strategist
The role
We are looking for an experienced grant writer who can make a substantial contribution to the overall funding strategy for our high potential and very purpose-driven medical devices start-up. This is a part-time role (2-3 days per week) with a preference for UK-based candidates.
What you’ll do
- Work with CLCC’s leadership team to update our grant application strategy and help us navigate the increasingly challenging and competitive environment for SME grants
- Review the landscape of relevant grant funding available to CLCC in the UK and continental Europe
- Manage relationships with 3rd party advisors in relation to USA and Asia based grant funding opportunities available to CLCC
- Take the lead in writing and filing new grant applications while coordinating and contributing to CLCC’s team efforts by soliciting necessary input, feedback, and subject matter expertise from other team members/our scientific board to ensure technically accurate and compelling proposals
- Form and develop strategic partnerships with foundations, charities, and research organisations aligned with our women’s health mission to create collaborative funding opportunities
- Track grant performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging funding opportunities in medical device innovation and women’s health
Who you are
- Experienced grant writer with a proven track record of leading or making a substantial contribution to multiple prior successful grant applications
- A passion for women’s health, with a strong desire to apply your unique perspective, experience and talents in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Action-oriented: time is our scarcest asset – we need to balance planning versus execution
- A catalyst for change: we like individuals who question assumptions and can improve how we operate
