Attending the Decoding the Future of Women Conference

Thrilled to represent Calla Lily Clinical Care at the Decoding the Future of Women conference. It was an inspiring day filled with groundbreaking insights at the intersection of technology and women’s health.

Standouts:

  • Women’s Health and Biology: Jennifer Garrison from the Buck Institute for Research on Aging revealed that addressing ovarian aging (which progresses at 2x the rate of other tissues) may help mitigate the disparity where “women spend 25% more time in poor health than men,” potentially improving hormonal balance, bone health, cardiovascular health, and cognitive function among others.
  • Personalised and preventative medicine: These topics in particular offered a vision of a healthier tomorrow, showcasing the power of tailored care and early interventions, including gene editing and exploring biomarkers of inflammation, as highlighted by Julija Jurić.

Beyond the presentations, the conference was about connections and stories. Every innovation has a tale to tell.

I had the pleasure of engaging with Lucy Hope, founder of The Daughters of Mars who introduced their next-generation tampons designed to balance the vaginal and vulval microbiome. Equally inspiring was my conversation with LactApp the first app dedicated to breastfeeding and motherhood.

For decades, the Pap smear has remained relatively unchanged, leaving many longing for innovation. But Matrix Health & Care represents a bold leap into the future of gynaecological care, offering a glimmer of hope for improved outcomes and patient experiences.

Special thanks to the organisers at FemTech Lab, all the incredible speakers and professionals who made this event possible!
